If you are unsure if you meet the requirements, call us to schedule a screening and we will determine if  you are eligible or ineligible for this study.

Inclusion Criteria
By meeting these, you can qualify for the study:
  1. Female or male patients, 18 to 80 years (inclusive) of age of randomization
  2. CAC score of 100 to 2000 AU (Agatston Units) inclusive within a 3-week period prior to randomization as measured by a multi-detector CT scanner
  3. Patients who are EITHER >55 tears or have history of diabetes mellitus at randomization
  4. Patients on HD for >6months prior to randomization
  5. Willing and able to understand and sign the informed consent
